Adopt-A-Block
|
To Work out there... Adopt-A-Block is
the core of the Dream Center ministries, since it takes us out into the
neighborhood and helps us to experience the needs of people first hand.
Many of the people involved in Adopt-A-Block have never done door-to-door
ministry before, but after a week or two they seem to be comfortable going
up to a door and telling the residents that we are there to serve
them. |
We go out every Saturday to help people with mowing their yards,
trimming bushes and trees, and many other types of physical helps. This allows
us to build a relationship to assist them with spiritual and emotional
needs, since there is a measure of trust already formed.
