free breakfast, lunch, laundry, telephone and other services. MWC will
also provide counseling to navigate through the social agencies that help those
in need. Kalamazoo Gospel Mission is
a Christian organization that offers meals, clothing, and emergency shelter to
homeless and hungry people in Kalamazoo. PJ's Closet @
Westwood Church of God provides free clothing. Kalamazoo County
Dept. of Human Services (DHS) provides personal care for people who are
unable to care for themselves. DHS provides food stamps. DHS
provides assistance in placement of adults in adult foster care. Adult
Protective Services provides protection services for vulnerable adults. Kalamazoo
Deacons Conference. Each guest sees a counselor who assesses
individuals needs: eviction, utility shot off, transportation, household goods,
furniture. Kalamazoo Deacons Conference helps by problem solving and
offering compassion and hope through faith in Jesus Christ. Kalamazoo
United Way helps fund a number of agencies. This will direct you to
United Way associated agencies. Salvation
Army Social Services Emergency Utility Assistance provides emergency
assistance for utilities, food, clothing, personal needs and disaster relief. Love In The Name of
Christ (Love INC) purpose is helping churches help people. Goodwill
Industries of Southwestern Michigan a not-for-profit organization, provides
education, training and employment services to people who live with disabling
conditions and other special needs to maximize their employment potential. |
