Giving Hope and Opportunity to The problems in our Edison neighborhood are many: functional illiteracy, unemployment, underemployment, crime dysfunctional households. We asked one woman to write to us about being given two beds for her children. This is what she said. She has two children, they were either sleeping on the floor or sleeping in her and her husband's bed. She had a hard time finding beds for the children because she had little money. Her children enjoy having their own beds now. Also, her husband and her are grateful to have their bed to themselves.
